Using Squidoo To Skyrocket Your MLM Lead Generation

by Eric on March 12, 2010

A Squi- What?

New and seasoned MLMers need to stand apart from their competition particularly if you’re with a MLM company that offers cookie cutter websites.  If you’re looking to build online business specifically, you need to find a way to show your potential customers and recruits that YOU are the expert in your field.  Squidoo can be a great MLM lead generator if used properly for this things we discuss below.

You could spend hundreds or thousands of dollars on a marketing plan specifically designed for you and your company.  You could spend another large amount on advertising and PR.  But what I if I told you there was a way to set yourself apart on the internet – and also told you that it’s free?  Would you stop and take notice?

I hope so because there’s a wonderful tool on the Internet that’s just perfect for MLMers to strut their stuff and establish themselves as the expert in their field and it doesn’t cost a penny – and even the time element is minimal. You set this up in about 5 minutes and it’s easy.  It’s called Squidoo!

Squid-what?  Squidoo – I like to call it a blog on steroids.  Squidoo doesn’t call them blogs though; they’re called “lenses” because each lens helps you to focus in on specific information on one area.

Here’s Why You Should Use A Squidoo Lense

What can you do on a squidoo site that will help you maximize your position as the MLM expert for your company?

1.  Have a web identity separate from your company sponsored replicated website.  It’s great to have a company site, but having a squidoo lens will help people find YOU, Inc. and not just your company.

2.  Confirm your expert status.  You can give details about your products and how customers can use them in real life.  You can go beyond the product descriptions and really help your customers see the benefits of the lifestyle that your company’s products promotes.

3.  Links to your company site.  Within the squidoo lens you can link to your company website too.  It’s a great lead generator for you.

4. Video and tutorials – show your customers how to sign up by displaying an online video of the process right on your lens (some special software may be required for this part). Even if you don’t do video you can type out a step by step tutorial on your sign up process so the shy ones feel better about jumping in.

5.  Book and resource recommendations – recommend books and other resources so your customers can become educated.  Just another service to help set you apart from the crowd. This option allows you to also earn a little side income for yourself.  Not bad!

Squidoo lenses are great web 2.0 properties that Google seems to attach onto quickly and index.  Try your hand at this free MLM lead generation method and see if you don’t take another step forward from the noise.

Happy Hunting!

Hey Eric -

I like the picture of Squidward (so do my kids).

I have a Squidoo page, however, I’ve never really done anything with it due to other distractions. Now, I’m thinking I should get on over there and update mine.

Thanks for the encouragement.

Jerome,
I just started messing around with Squidoo, but I have noticed how quickly some of my pages get indexed and start ranking. This is just another way to get YOU, Inc. exposure and be everywhere. You can tell people to “Oogle” your name and see what they come up with and these types of pages will certainly show up.

Thanks for stopping by!

Hey Eric,

I am glad you posted about Squidoo. I admit that is something I do very little with. Although I keep hearing a lot of successful marketers swear by it. I will definitely look into more seriously after reading this.

Thanks for the post and have a good weekend.

This is some very useful info, Eric!

I’m going to have to bookmark this page for future reference when I decide to head on over to Squidoo.

Eric

Squidoo. I have dabbled a a little bit, but it didn’t go any further than that.
I think I might take another look at it based on your review.

Hey Eric,

This is something that I haven’t explored. I will look at this down the road…I have quite a bit that I’m focusing on. But I know it is another avenue for generating leads.

Great information!

Have a great weekend…

Hey Eric,

I have a few Squidoo pages, but nothing recent. I think I follow suit with the rest of the comments. I went there and set up some stuff, and then never did anything else with it.

Hmmmm… Maybe I should take a closer look.

Do yourself a favor and send some link love to your squidoo pages. You can link to them from your blog or from articles you write and submit. Finally don’t forget to bookmark them

Nice post and I think its safe to say that no matter what industry you are in, success or failure mainly depends on the quantity and quality of your leads. Everyone reading this should see the movie Glengarry Glen Ross, and if you’ve already seen it then watch it again! A.B.C Always Be Closing!

Does anybody know where I can find more of this type of information? Very good post, but I’d like to learn more. Thanks anybody…
