Three Innovations That Changed MLM Marketing Forever

by Eric on March 15, 2010

Being successful in an MLM business is an ever evolving process.  The days of following the 3′ rule, hounding friends and family, and worrying what to do when you run out of leads seem like a far off memory.  Today, the landscape of the MLM industry has changed more drastically than any other time in the history of the industry.  The following are three MLM marketing innovations that changed the way people market forever.

Like Moths To A Flame

The first thing that has changed the entire way people go about recruiting people into any opportunity has been the concept of attraction marketing.  The idea has taken the entire industry by storm.  The core principle of this idea is that people are naturally drawn to others that can provide them with value and leadership.  It is engrained in people to be attracted to others who can provide them with the things mentioned above.

Does The Rise Of Social Media Mean The Death Of Traditional Marketing?

The next innovation is Social Media.  The rise in popularity of social sites like Facebook, Twitter, Digg, and Youtube has entirely changed the online marketing landscape as a whole.  These social sites are among the most trafficed sites in the entire world and have presented huge opportunities for people to accelerate their MLM marketing efforts.  The power of these outlets is so wide reaching that nearly every Fortune 500 company has some sort of presence on these mediums.  Are they going to invest in employees to do so if they don’t see the huge ROI?

It’s Ok, You Don’t Have To Join My Opportunity:  I Just Got Paid $5 To Prospect You

The final innovation that has been brought to the forefront of MLM marketing is the idea of the funded proposal.  A funded proposal is a sales funnel put together in a way that you can monetize all of your traffic, even if they don’t join your primary opportunity.  Done correctly, you will be getting paid to prospect people for your business.  Sweet Huh!

Now I am sure there are some others that are equally as innovate, but these were the obviouse three that jumped out at me.  The power of these three items to build an MLM empire is unbelievable.  What are some of the innovations that you think have changed the face of MLM Marketing?

Hey Eric,

You nailed it! There is great power using the social sites you mentioned. Used properly will generate business for anyone. But what I’ve been seeing lately is more spamming going on than providing good quality information.

Thanks for providing good quality information. This is the info I like to share with on Social Media.

Chat with you later…

Hey Josh,
Thanks for stopping by! I have been actively working social media for only about a month and the results have been unbelievable from a traffic standpoint. Powerful stuff.

Why didn’t you sign the “Comment Ninja”?

Hey Eric,

I wanted to drop by later and give you a:

Hi Eric,

You definitely covered the main 3, I think.

The Internet in general has been one of those “game changers” for businesses, period.

On par with the Industrial Revolution, in my opinion.

Hey Eric,

Yeah, I like the way attraction marketing has evolved things, especially getting paid by our prospects on the front end. It removes the “needy” mentality that stunted growth using the old methods.

Thanks for the post.

I like that analogy Derek, the changes in MLM due to these three factors are definitely in line with the changes that occurred during the industrial revolution.

Thanks for stopping by,

Hey Eric

You are right on the money with this one my friend.

Let me add the next level concept to you.

Mobile Phone Marketing. That it is going to be the next platform which will become more accessible to marketers. Smart phones are changing the way we communicate!

Hey Dwayne,

I just saw your comment and you are dead-on, man!

Monique and I are going to San Diego this weekend to learn about this stuff and to get our own phone app created — should be good…

Eric March 15, 2010 at 4:17 pm

Dwayne,
I think you are onto something with the mobile phone marketing. Who ever figures out the best way to attack that avenue will experience some explosive growth. I have been reading bits and pieces about and know there is definitely some untapped power there.

Thanks for the hot stock tip

Hey there Eric,

I agree with Wayne…I’m all for the “attraction marketing” approach.

We are the solution fulfilling a need. Oppose to asking every brother and sister if they want in.

Hey Eric,

Great work man. Between attraction marketing, funded proposals, and social media, the you become a very likable guy with a lot to offer. Who wouldn’t want to do business with someone like that.

Eric March 16, 2010 at 10:30 am

You know Chris, I have been asking myself the exact same question. If you wanted to build a home business and build it quickly, wouldn’t it be adventageous to hook up with some people that are already in the mix? Oh wait ….. Think I just answered my own question.

Thanks for stopping by and tell Tragena awesome post,
HI-YA

Eric March 16, 2010 at 10:32 am

Wait a minute Jerome,
You mean to tell me if that my target market isn’t everyone with a pulse? I think a lot of people think that way, when not everyone is a candidate for what we have. It is not for the weak at heart.

Thanks for stopping by ,
Eric
