Should Article Marketing Be a Part of Your MLM Marketing Plan?

If you are in online MLM marketing but have never heard of using articles to drive traffic to your website and opportunity information, then you are really missing the boat when it comes to getting new customers and recruits. Let’s face it, is very important to drive as much traffic as possible to your website so that people can learn about the opportunity to become a recruit with your company. When it all comes down to it, that is where you will make your long-term income goals a reality.

Article marketing is a very simple task but it needs to be something that you do on a consistent basis. It consists of writing short articles, usually 400 to 450 words, and posting them on article directory sites online. By putting anchor link text into your article sending people back to your website, you will see an increase in traffic and opportunities. Let’s look at an example.

Let’s say you’re MLM company sells custom jewelry. You might decide to write some articles about custom jewelry, working from home and even job opportunities for mothers. In your articles, you will steer clear of talking specifically about the company but you will talk about the advantages of working in the industry, working from home and making extra income.

Somewhere in the article or in the resource box at the end, you’ll use specific keywords that you have researched and link those keywords back to your website. This will do two things: it will give you greater desirability to the search engines, but it will also drive more traffic to your website from people who are interested in what you have to offer. Obviously, it is important to do proper keyword research before you write the articles so that you aren’t wasting your time writing articles using the wrong keywords.

When doing article marketing, it is important not to sound too much like a sales pitch as you want to give good quality information and lead the person in the direction that you want them to go. Good MLM marketing will not make someone feel like they are being sold to, but it will make them feel as though they are getting information on a possible business opportunity that might work for them. Remember that you want to add this person into your organization so want to build a good rapport and relationship with them even from the very beginning.
