MLM Lead
The most important thing anyone will ever tell you about an MLM lead is that these are people you’re talking about, not numbers. Like any other business, you need to give personal attention. Gain your customer’s trust and offer something the other guy needs.
The best MLM leads where a prospect is already sold aren’t hanging from the trees or old lists that have been around the block a couple of times. So where can you find an MLM lead that no one else has? Two ways you can do this.
First, you could buy MLM email leads from a lead generation service. If possible, do a trial run with a sample purchase. Check the freshness of each and every single MLM email lead they give you.
You might also want to find out if your leads have been oversold. As in whether you’re competing with four or five others trying to sell to the prospect. You just need to make sure you’ll be getting enough conversions to keep you in business.
Another way to generate leads is to do it yourself, with a website or a blog and an opt-in email list. All you have to do is offer the product along with your sales pitch. Throw in plenty of advice, and make sure the opt-in email list is out front and center on every page.
You can promote the opt-in email list through social media to your friends and connections on twitter, facebook, youtube and other networks. If possible, also throw in a free e-book to attract signups. The e-book will also help you in your sales pitch, since the prospect will already be aware of all the details and benefits of the product and the downline.
As for the pitch, you cannot start by talking about the pot of gold on the downline and how your product is the best thing since sliced bread. First you need to find out if the prospect is in the market for the product or at least willing to consider it.
Second, whether he or she is ready to buy, or is merely shopping around. This you can do with a simple questionnaire to shortlist your real prospects. Once you’re sure the lead is genuine, then you make your offer and sweeten it with the downline possibilities.
Why a lot of MLM marketers fail is because they have this routine upside down. They try to sell the money-making opportunity first, and the product is just an afterthought. You take the trouble to find the right MLM lead and convince the prospect that your product fits the bill, and the rest of it will fall into place. The lead will use the product, and if it works, all of the prospect’s network will start buying into it.
